Men's Coach or Player/Coach Vacancy, Assistant coaches - playing or non playing - Vacancies

Chadstone Lacrosse Club is rebuilding and developing our men's lacrosse program. We are a rapidly growing club. From fielding 1 senior men's team in 2007, we fielded 2 teams in Division 1 and Division 3 in 2009. In 2010 the club is aiming to have 3 senior men's teams and continue to field teams in all junior boys grades and continue to develop our women's & girl's programs in what will be an important milestone year - our 50th anniversary.

Men's Coach or Player/Coach: We are looking for a coach or player/coach to lead our senior men's program and coach our highest grade men's team. In 2009 our Division 1 team finished 3rd and had 15 wins in a highly competitive season. Our player group is young, exciting and full of promise. We now require a coach who can take our players to the next level in their lacrosse game both as individuals and as a team. Ideally this would suit someone with a strong technical knowledge of lacrosse and who is able to impart that knowledge to our player group with their superior communication skills. This is a great opportunity for any coach interested in moulding a keen group into a competitive high-level team.

You will receive significant support from the club. We have a strong and growing junior program; an affiliation with Monash University that provides year round access to grounds and another recruitment area for players; an established international recruitment program; and, a strong and supportive committee who are seeking to improve the club on and off the ground.

Assistant coaches - playing or non-playing: We are also seeking assistant coaches (playing or non playing) who want to be involved in this exciting era of our club. Duties could include coaching one of our senior men's teams or as an assistant to our top level team.

Closing Date: 8th Dec 2009

Remuneration: Negotiable and dependant on the applicant/s background and experience. Coach/es will also be supported and encouraged with their professional development.

For more information: Mike Lee, Vice-President, Chadstone Lacrosse Club. E-mail: mike@netskills.com.au or 0425741953

2008-09 Senior Coach Brett Marchant is also available to discuss the player group with any interested applicant. 0408 687 084 or brettmarchant@optusnet.com.au
