ROB STARK SIGNS UP FOR THE NEW VICTORIA LACROSSE LEAGUE

Interview Date: Thursday 22nd November, 2007

Why have you signed up for the new Victorian Lacrosse league?
To play the best lacrosse in the country against the best players.

How do you think it will differ from the regular State League competition?
The games will be far more intense, more skillful and go down to the wire to keep people interested.

How many times have you played for Australia?
I've played for Australia a few times;

U19 World Series
1995 USA (representative tour)
1996 Japan

World Series
1998 Baltimore
2002 Perth (pulled out to injury)
2006 Canada

Who is the best lacrosse player you have played against?
The best player in Australia I've played against is JT (John Tokarua - MCC, Australia)

What was it about them that made them so good?
His ability to recover from any position when beaten is remarkable

What is it about lacrosse that you like?
Lacrosse has all aspects of sport that I like skill, speed, agility, contact and finesse.

What type and brand of lacrosse stick do you play with and why?
I don't have a preference in a stick as long as it holds the ball well and is tough as nails.

What position on the team is the easiest?
Surely goalie is the easiest position to play, as they just have to stand there and do nothing - and wait for the ball to come to them!

What is the highest number of goals you have scored in a game/who was it against/how long ago?
I have shot 9 goals against MCC a couple of years ago and 8 a few times against Surrey and Camberwell.
